Methodological level
At a methodological level, the Andalusian Public Health Service’s Network of Research Foundations (RFGI-APHS) makes the following services available to you:
- Consulting and/or methodological review of the research protocol in the following sections:
- Formulation of hypotheses and objectives
- Selection of the most appropriate epidemiological design
- Operational definition of variables
- Preparation of the statistical methodology
- Advice on the validation of questionnaires and other measurement instruments
- Advice on the presentation of results for scientific dissemination
- Analysis of the causes of rejection: review of projects articles and rejected
Statistical level
Drafting of the statistical method or analysis strategy
- Sampling and calculation of sample sizes
- Database design for research
- Exploratory and descriptive analysis of the data
- Inferential analysis (univariate and multivariate)
- Evaluation of diagnostic tests, sensitivity, specificity, predictive values and ROC curves
- Statistical validation of questionnaires and other measurement tools
- Other statistical techniques (meta-analysis, etc.)
It is also worth highlighting the affiliation of this service with the APHS’s Virtual Library, which can be used by APHS professionals to review and analyse the literature available in publications relevant to their lines of research.
