Unit description

We offer a DIRECT PROJECT MANAGEMENT – RESEARCH GRANT service to Andalusian Public Health System bodies and entities in the province, to the Biomedicine Institute of Seville (IBiS) and to the professionals who carry out their healthcare and/or research activities within them.
We provide support in:
- The active search for funding sources for the development of R&D&I research initiatives in the health sector.
- Guidance and support for the presentation of research projects to public and private funding bodies.
- The organisation of procedures for contracting personnel, goods and services. Scientific and economic monitoring.
- Justification for the funding granted.

The grants managed can be of a competitive or non-competitive nature, public or private and of different types: HR, PROJECTS, COMPLEMENTARY ACTIONS and INFRASTRUCTURES.
The idea and/or design of the project may arise prior to or as a consequence of the identification of a funding opportunity, and therefore the Project Management Unit will circulate the published calls for proposals on a weekly basis. You can access the opportunities that are currently available via the Progress and Health Foundation (PHF) Call Calendar.
Once you have chosen the funding source you wish to apply for, you must read the participation rules carefully and check if there is a limited or unlimited number of applications or if authorisations must be processed prior to the application. The manager will help you to adapt the proposal to the corresponding requirements, prepare/revise the grant budget and any required formal documents. During this phase, the following may be requested at the researcher’s request:
You must obtain all relevant authorisations before starting the implementation. For studies and projects, the approval report of the Research Ethics Committee must always be provided, and you must access the Research Ethics Portal (SICEIA) to process it.
The administrative and economic management will be led by the project managers. Your manager will summarise the points to be taken into account throughout the implementation and up to finalisation. Key issues regarding implementation and justification are the grant conditions, publication rules, budget, staff recruitment needs, formalisation of purchasing processes, modifications and extensions. The scientific and technical execution is always the main focus, although joint work between researchers and managers is vital for this to be successful. In order to keep track of the economic status of active projects, researchers have access to the INVESTIGA+ management tool.
This Operational Grants Management Service also has a CV Editor based on standardised CV model that enables the creation of a CV as well as its modification and exporting to different formats.
