Yesterday, 30 May 2024, the Seville City Council awarded the doctors and researchers Estefanía García Guerrero and Fernando de la Portilla de Juan the Medal of the City of Seville for their contribution to the field of science.

Both award winners are researchers at the Biomedicine Institute of Seville (IBiS), with Dr García Guerrero working in the cell therapy and new therapeutic targets onco-hematology groups, while Dr de la Portilla de Juan works in the oncological surgery group. Cell therapy and organ transplantation.
